Today I had to go into town for a variety of things, so I though I’d take a couple of photos to show you what I get to see whilst wandering around. I apologise in advance for the quality of the photos, as I forgot to take my camera, so these were taken on my phone, which isn’t very good as a camera. The sun was out for the start of my trip, but as you can see from the second photo (taken just before I got home) it clouded over again.

Skipton canal and narrowboats

You can just see in the background, right in the middle of the photo, the tower of the parish church, with its infernal bells (I say that because it rings every fifteen minutes all through the night and during the summer when we have the bedroom window open, we hear it, rather loudly! We live about 200 yards away from it).

View from the top of our hill

Again, you can see the parish church. This hill is much steeper than this photo lets on! Our street runs 90° to this street, running from the left-hand side of the photo, in front of the beige house with the black window frames.

I love the canal running along your city! Are those boats for touring or do they run products?

    Neat pics!
