67/365 – Lit Christmas tree

As a change from lots of spring flowers (I have got more flowers springing up everywhere, and also toppling over, for some reason. My bulbs are drunk. 😀 ) I thought I’d post a photo I’ve been meaning to take for some time.

Wilko’s brother and sister-in-law gave me some chocolate truffles for Christmas, and they came in this beautiful wooden Christmas tree. The truffles are long gone, but the tree is still here. I’ve been wondering about putting a tea-light into it and I did tonight, only for the photograph, though. It looked lovely, but obviously is a fire risk, so I think what I’ll try to find an artificial tea-light to put in it.

The tree is on our garden table (which lives in the kitchen during the winter). The calendar in the background is an astronomy calendar and March is a large photo of the Sun.

Neat box! Never seen chocolates come in a box like that. Really cool.

Really lovely! You could always use a small string of lights too to light it from inside 😉

That looks really beautiful! They do make battery-operated candles so you should be able to find something that won’t present a fire hazard that will look just as nice.
