Most of you would know about it, but just to summarize;
The Taj Mahal (“Crown of Palaces”) is a white marble mausoleum/tomb constructed in the 1600s by the Mogul Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his Wife, Mumtaz who died during child-birth.
It is claimed that about 20,000 workers built this monument. 20,000 … for a tomb.
To quote Tolkien, “Kings made tombs more splendid than the houses of the living, and counted the old names of their descent dearer than the names of their sons.”
Anyway, on to the pictures, which are from a trip to Agra in 2007
Well, that’s that. I have more places to show in Agra and Delhi. But that will be for another time.
