168/365: The Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Last week my best friend and I traveled to the Smokies in Tennessee. We had a wonderful time!

On Monday, we drove around Cades Cove and then took a 5-mile moderate hike to Abrams Falls.

Look! An Ent!

Tuesday included some goofing around with the fox statue that was in our cabin.

I started the shenanigans when I hid him in the shower to scare my friend.

Then she did all kinds of things with him with my stuff (including my pillow) while I was in the shower.

On Wednesday, we took a hike to Spruce Flats Falls, a 2-mile strenuous hike.

I spotted this cute guy on the return hike. There are tons of different kinds of salamanders in the Smokies. I love them!

And then we ate our lunch in the middle of the river before setting off for home.
