195/365 – Interesting sights in Anacortes, WA.

Sunday we drove around looking for places to wet our toes in this heat and we happened to end up in Anacortes after dipping our toes in the Puget Sound at Deception Pass State Park. While in Anacortes we stumbled upon some very interesting sights and thought you would enjoy seeing them too.

This is a castle that a man built and still lives in. Very cool architecture. Not sure if you can truly see the windows in the tower but they are awesome and the stone work is phenomenal!

This is a park with a designed stone wall that surrounds it. There is a gazebo and a curved step way into the park from the East side. We were mesmerized by the details in the wall.

We really enjoyed seeing this so I hope you do too.

I guess that guy took the idiom ‘My home is my castle’ literally ๐Ÿ˜€ And the stonework is beautiful. I recognize the Celtic wolf symbol in the second to last picture.

They take their rocks seriously in Washington, don’t they? ๐Ÿ˜€
