Our favorite board game right now is Discworld: Ankh-Morpork. I am a huge Pratchett fan, but even my husband, who never finished a Discworld boom, loves it. It has none of the annoyances of other games. Setup is quick, rules are simple yet allow for many different scenarios during each turn, and the objective of every player can be different, which gives each game even more variety. And it’s over in under an hour.
And this is Roma, a 2-player game based on Roman Empire. Only played it once so far. It’s a little different in setup and rules and I don’t think I quite grasped the strategy. It’s fun, and it gives me some one on one time with my son, so yay for Roma.
