285/365 – Somber Carpet Moth

This was my weekend to work and I decided to take one of my cameras with me.  Not much happened yesterday but on Saturday, there was a little moth in the staff office.  I’m not sure how she got in but I was able to get a couple of shots.  From my research, it appears that there are numerous types of carpet moths and they are so named because of the patterns on their wings.  They are also known as Tapestry Moths.  This one is a female because her antennae are slender and not as feathery as a male’s.

To put this into perspective, the moth is about the size of my thumbnail!

Is it a moth on a somber carpet or is the moth somber or is it a somber picture of a moth on a carpet? 😀 Great picture ateelah 🙂
