I would advise you NOT to try to climb a Honey Locust tree. In the Spring the flowers smell lovely, but don’t get too close!!!

Doesn’t look like a friendly hugging tree to me.
I read somewhere that there are still tress in North America that have these huge thorns and spiny fruit to ward off giant sloths and other huge herbivores that used to wander the continent. So if you are not a giant sloth, don’t climb those trees.
But take cool pictures of them.
Interesting trees but you wont catch me climbing or trying to climb them!
My girls call these “Jesus Trees.” 😀
Looks pretty lethal to me!
