345/365 Ring around the wreaths

This past week I had a few more hours in the schedule to do some Christmas decorating.  After gathering greenery from the yard and garden, I set about creating some wreaths.  The three in the picture are: Purple sage, dried Hortensia gathered this fall, and various greens from the pines in our garden.IMG_5227b

When I do something like this in the kitchen, I have to have the mandatory Christmas scent (either candle or simmering pot), Christmas music playing, and feline supervision:

… which of course Simon gladly provided 😉

The temperatures have just begun to dip towards zero and we’ve had a powdering of frost so far with a brief (very) snow flurry.  So mild in fact that somehow the spiders must think it is still Fall.  A wreath of another kind I suppose:

Keep warm and cozy y’all.  And you Californian ladies in the rain, don’t forget your galoshes 😀

Simon looks very like my cat, HIH (Her Imperial Highness). The wreaths look beautiful and what a terrific capture of the spider web!

I’m impressed by your wreath skills; I’m even more impressed that you grew the greenery yourself. (I do NOT have a green thumb. 😦 ) As always, your pictures are lovely!
