80/365 – Solar eclipse

So, those of you not in Europe might not have realised, but there was a solar eclipse over the UK and northern Europe on Friday. It was total in the Faroe Islands, but where I live, we had about 96% totality. The eclipse was in the morning, and when I got up, it was rather cloudy. Fortunately, it was rather high cloud, so I could see it.

I made a pinhole camera with a shoebox and a sheet of white paper. My camera phone managed to focus on the image from the pinhole camera, so here’s evidence of the eclipse. 🙂

A double eclipse (possibly due to water droplets on the window).

A maximum occultation.
